I am an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Social Sciences at SWPS University in Warsaw. I lead the project “Determinants of Public Support for Gender Equality Policies”, funded under the Polish Returns programme of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Its aim is to explain which equality policies gain widespread public support.

My research examines the role of gender in politics, public policy and educational outcomes. For the past two years, as a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, I studied where and why boys have poorer education outcomes than girls.

My research has been published in Population and Development Review, Journal of European Social Policy, Public Opinion Quarterly, Political Studies and Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties. I have reviewed for British Journal of Sociology, Journal of European Public Policy, World Politics, Public Opinion Quarterly, European Journal of Political Research, International Journal of Public Opinion Research and European Journal of Politics and Gender, among others. I have been elected to the Early-Career Review Board of Social Science Research. In 2026, I created the Interactive Gender Inequality Map of Poland, a tool that makes it easy to explore data on gender inequalities at the local level.

I earned my PhD in public policy and administration from Bocconi University in Milan. I hold bachelor’s degrees in international economics and in Iberian studies from the University of Warsaw, and master’s degrees in East European studies from the Free University of Berlin and in European interdisciplinary studies from the College of Europe in Natolin. I spent a semester each at the University of Chile, the Xaverian Pontifical University in Bogotá, the University of Barcelona, the Higher School of Economics in Moscow and the University of Padua. I was a visiting researcher at Brown University in Providence (Rhode Island, USA) and at the European University Institute in Florence. I have been a member of the Collegium Invisibile academic society since 2016. Since 2023, I have co-organised 12 editions of the Workshop in Quantitative Political Studies together with Prof. Adam Gendźwiłł.

Beyond the traineeship in DG Trade of the European Commission, I was a trainee at the Polish Embassies to the Holy See, in Chile, Colombia and Mexico, as well as at the research institutes of the University of Warsaw: Digital Economy Lab (DELab) and Group for Research in Applied Economics (GRAPE). I also worked for eclareon GmbH in the field of renewable energy sources.

In 2012, with the Polish national team, I won Team World Championship U21 in bridge. In 2013, I founded the student website promoting Latin America in Polish, iberoameryka.com. Between 2015 and 2019, I organized the youth camp Forum Szkół Polskich. Poznań – Europa, where I also lead workshops on the common good, regional and national identities and European integration. Since 2016, I am a member of the scientific society Collegium Invisibile.

In 2026 Wydawnictwo Port published my first book, “Mężczyźni. O nierówności płci” (“Men. On Gender Inequality”), in which I describe inequalities that disadvantage men in law, education, health, social exclusion and parenthood. In 2021, I published the report “Przemilczane nierówności. O problemach mężczyzn w Polsce” (“Unspoken Inequalities. On the Problems of Men in Poland”). In 2022, I co-founded the Polish Association for Boys and Men.
